Thank you to everyone at He-Man Dual Controls for raising £206 for Macmillan Cancer Care

Thank you to everyone at He-Man Dual Controls for raising £206 for Macmillan Cancer Care

We'd like to say a massive thank you to all of the He-Man team - and their families! - who contributed to our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September.

We raised an incredible £206 for Macmillan's essential work supporting the 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. That's the most we've ever raised and will go towards providing services for those affected as well as advocacy and training to help improve the support available for them throughout their journey.

Going into winter we're going to be supporting another two fantastic charities: Brake and the Southampton Hospitals Charity.

Brake's work supporting road crash victims and raising awareness of road safety is obviously close to all of our hearts here at He-Man, and we look forward to being part of their brilliant annual Road Safety Week in November. This year the theme is Safe People on the Move, focusing on issues affecting every road user including pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, riders and more. As our motto says, it's all part of creating safer roads for everyone.

The Southampton Hospitals Charity do great work in our own home city, raising money to support our hospitals in areas where funding is stretched. That means expanding resources for patients, their families and staff, as well as boosting research capabilities and improving the hospitals' infrastructure. This year their Fire Recovery Appeal is focused on providing funding to help Southampton General Hospital and its staff get back to normal after the fire in the west wing of the hospital earlier this year.

Thanks again to everybody for their generosity and their baking; it's just one example of the things that makes the He-Man team stronger united.
