On Friday 28th March 2025 the Lagercrantz Group acquired He-Man Dual Controls by purchasing 100% of the shares in HM Holding Limited.
Lagercrantz Group is a technology group that offers world-leading, value-creating technology using either proprietary products or products from leading suppliers. The Group consists of around 85 companies, each with a focus on a specific sub-market or niche. They are active in nine countries in Northern Europe, as well as the USA, China and India. The Group overall has approximately 3,000 employees and annual revenues of over £700 million.
“He-Man is the clear market leader in its niche in the UK. With its extensive experience in the sector, few competitors can match its dedicated product range and level of service. The market for dual controls remains robust, supported by long-term regulatory requirements and a steady underlying demand. We have great confidence in He-Man’s continued growth across Europe and see significant opportunities to further develop the company and broaden its product offering in close collaboration with the management team”, says Andreas Heder, Head of the Control Division at Lagercrantz Group.
Lagercrantz’s approach to long term investment in independent companies is welcomed by the He-Man Team. Andy Appleby, Managing Director, says:
"It is now more than 30 years since I started working at He-Man. It feels exciting to partner with a long-term and stable owner who will support our continued development and European expansion. I very much look forward to continuing as MD of He-Man under Lagercrantz’ ownership”.
He-Man became part of Lagercrantz’ Control division as of March 2025. They continue to design and manufacture all of their products in Southampton, UK.
